The management of information within an organization is paramount to the success of data security efforts. That being said, accounting for data that has been circulated outside the protective ramparts of an organization’s policies can be a difficult undertaking. The legal department utilizes an ever growing roster of third-party vendors and law firms to conduct day-to-day operations, and it must be ready to press those organizations to maintain high standards in regard to how sensitive data is handled.
