The risks that pose threats to American businesses are many and varied, but each year some gain more focus from business leaders. This year, cybersecurity soared to the top of the list according to the second annual Travelers Business Risk Index.

The Index is the result of a poll including 1,200 business decision makers who voiced their concerns for their companies. Cyberrisks, legal liability, and medical cost inflation are the top three risk concerns for professional services this year in the U.S. — although legal liability and medical cost inflation are nearly of equal concern while cyber risks spiked. Cyber has the attention of 67 percent of respondents; legal liability came in at 53 percent, and medical cost inflation at 52 percent.
