The e-discovery world never rests; keeping up with the latest trends is truly a continuous process. That’s why, some e-discovery leaders say, “continuous active learning” is so important and the key to advancing companies and law firms’ technologically-assisted review (TAR) capabilities.

TAR may be a relatively new concept—it has been endorsed by the courts only in the past couple of years—but its constantly-changing nature led four legal leaders to conduct an informative plenary session at Legaltech West Coast, titled “Taking TAR to the Next Level: Recent Research and the Promise of Continuous Active Learning.” The session, sponsored by Catalyst Repository Systems, featured John Tredennick, CEO and founder, Catalyst Repository Systems; Emi Ohira, principal, DSA Legal Solutions; Maura R. Grossman, of counsel, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz; and Gordon V. Cormack, professor, University of Waterloo.
