Advanced analytics are a valuable tool for many industries, with the auto industry no excpetion. The predictive capabilities of analytical solutions can ensure safety, keep customers happy, and address technical needs before they arise with users. But, a recent survey of auto industry executives found a stark lack in the use of advanced predictive analytics to help prevent, prepare for, and manage recalls.
Conducted by Deloitte, the poll found that 42 percent of auto executives expect more industry recalls in 2015 and 2016, yet only 8 percent employ advanced predictive analytics to prevent and manage the events. Twenty-three percent of respondents have no operational product safety and recall anticipatory analytic capabilities.
