As discussed last week, Bloomberg Law’s latest tool—the Privacy & Data Security platform—hopes to aid practitioners by providing tools and analysis that make this quickly evolving practice area easier to navigate. While the impetus for the tool’s construction was obvious given the growing importance of privacy and data competency in the practice of law, a co-released survey also provided additional motivation for releasing this new tool to users.
Conducted in conjunction with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the survey, “Assessing and Mitigating Privacy Risk Starts at the Top,” identified several key statistics that relate to the investment of resources and new threats now coming into focus for privacy practitioners.
