A new database will provide attorneys, researchers and the general public greater transparency into what the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is doing on enforcement actions.
Developed by Cornerstone Research and New York University’s Pollack Center for Law & Business, the Securities Enforcement Empirical Database (SEED) is free of charge to all users. SEED tracks SEC enforcement actions against public companies and presents data so users can understand trends and enforcement priorities. Also, SEED is the first public database to offer easily searchable and verified data to researchers, attorneys and corporations, according to the Pollack Center.
