Famed businesswoman and entrepreneur Audrey MacLean has likened starting a business with going to war. If that is indeed the case, Indianapolis-based startup PactSafe found an early ally in the Bay Area Acceleprise program. PactSafe recently finished the four-month immersive program in San Francisco and has announced $1.2 million in total funding and a new legal API called Vault.

The mentor network provided by Acceleprise includes executives from Cisco, Box, Gainsight, Zuora, RelateIQ, and dozens more. “It’s hard to begin,” PactSafe chief operating officer Eric Prugh told Legaltech News. “Acceleprise gave us the opportunity to become deeply immersed in the Bay Area culture as a startup, even though we’re from the Midwest. The quality of feedback from mentors like these put the maturity of our company light years ahead of where it could have gotten without it. We’ll continue to harvest those relationships from back in Indianapolis as we continue to succeed and grow. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are to be a part of the program. It’s put us on a trajectory to be one of Indy’s next great tech success stories.”
