The demand for strong technological acumen can be felt across a variety of industries and is growing louder as the risk of cyberattacks becomes a reality for every company. A recent report from international executive search firm Boyden contextualizes companies’ needs for tech-savvy leadership, providing figures that illustrate a rise in cyberattacks from “malicious individuals.”
“Organizations are intensively seeking senior cyber talent, though they are having a difficult time finding the right candidates,” said Tim McNamara, managing partner, Boyden Washington DC, and co-founder of the firm’s Risk Management & Security sector, in a statement accompanying the report. “It’s a very complicated sector with bifurcated responsibilities. Consequently, there are multiple strategies to address cybersecurity needs among the commercial, military and defense, and intelligence segments.”
