A recent report by nonprofit research and consulting firm AIIM finds data incidents remain a problem for business executives.

Titled “Information Governance – too important for humans,” the report found that 45 percent of business executives said lacking information governance leaves their organization vulnerable to both litigation and data protection risks. The report also noted that 22 percent of respondents reported issue around electronic records management had a negative financial impact; another 41 percent said that their email management was “chaotic.”
