Even though there continues to be high risk for data breaches – it appears that Congress will not be passing any new significant cybersecurity or privacy laws this year, according to one recent analysis.
“We do not anticipate any other meaningful additional privacy or cybersecurity legislation being enacted in 2016,” according to a memorandum by Stuart D. Levi of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
