The acceleration of legal services is reliant upon the individuals behind them, and the expertise needed for the adequate fulfilling of leadership roles growingly depends more on a hybrid of legal and technological expertise. OmniVere’s latest moves to its growing New York office illustrates this diverse acumen, as the global services firm announced on Jan. 21 the addition of Yin Lu, vice president of discovery, and Pete Smith as vice president of sales in the East.
With this appointment, Smith will be leading OmniVere’s New York City sales team. Dan Bellopede, OmniVere’s chief sales officer, said that Smith’s “experience, energy and industry knowledge are the traits needed to lead the sales team in this region,” and noted that Smith’s resume includes collaborations with “the world’s largest law firms and Fortune 500 companies.”
