Given its niche lexicon and the volume of information it can contain, legal information can be a difficult subject for technology to scour. Thomson Reuters is attempting to both simplify and expedite legal tasks, unveiling Practice Point, a solution that attempts to deliver relevant content and tools for a number of legal issues and tasks.
But just how does Practice Point leverage the content that lawyers need? The answer lies in Practical Law and Westlaw, from which this new platform amalgamates expertise, content, technology and a vast legal vernacular. The interface contains menus that are arranged by tasks, projects and practice area, an arrangement that strives to simplify searches. It also has task-based organization, arranging information by relevance.
