Many argue that collaboration is the key to better work, but how often does technology make working together cumbersome? Foxwordy has taken a different approach to aligning workflows, forgoing a strictly utilitarian interface for one more akin to a social media platform. In addition to a site redesign, the company announced Feb. 1 the release of Foxwordy Teams – a subject-specific grouping feature – and an academic membership geared toward law students and professors.

“Foxwordy was launched last year as a private social network for lawyers [to] basically blend the best elements of social networking with cloud collaboration,” said Monica Zent, founder and CEO of Foxwordy. “What inspired the site redesign was a lot of feedback, a lot of talking with our users during the public beta period, getting great feedback from our members in the community about … what they wanted to see different or new.”
