In the legal world as in the IT world, it is usually that which is not seen or known that causes the most problems. And on this issue, dark data is where these two worlds collide.
Dark data is information that is collected through a system’s operations, but not used—essentially hidden metadata—was the topic of Legaltech New York’s “Turning on the Lights in a Dark [Data] Room” moderated by Tom Barce, director of consulting services for Kroll Ontrack.
