To better serve their customers and stand out in the marketplace, legal tech companies are looking to centralize and expand their services and offerings. To some companies that means betting on comprehensive software, but to others, the solution lies in vertical mergers.

With this idea in mind, e-discovery and litigation support firm Avalon Document Services recently announced its merger with digital forensics and cyber security services DIGITS. The merger will see Avalon Document Services keeping its brand name, while its cybersecurity partner will change to DIGITS LLC, a Division of Avalon.
