With the digitization of much of the legal process and the always-looming threat of security breaches, there’s no understating the value of technological acumen. Expertise with tech in a single facet of legal is invaluable, though there are some whose experience has versed them in tools and procedures for various elements of practice. Professional services provider Global Colleague has found an expert whose mark on information governance spans both discovery and security, announcing Feb 16 the appointment of Larikus Scott to director of discovery response and cyber security.

Legal and technology have intersected at various points throughout Scott’s career. At the Department of Justice under the Lockheed Martin Corporation, Scott was a lead technical analyst. For the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and Bureau of Competition, he served as a “subject matter expert,” a statement from Global Colleague said. His experience also includes serving as Gemean Corporation’s director of discovery services as well as time spent with FTI Consulting and Navigant Consulting.
