Like many facets of the economy, the legal industry is no stranger to outsourcing. Yet its relationship to the practice can be at times more apprehensive than others. After all, law records and data are highly sensitive and not easily entrusted to external partners. This leads many firms to take tasks like digitizing records into their own hands— even if sometimes those hands may not be as steady as they hope.

Scanning and document management solutions firm Visioneer sees many of the problem law firms face implementing an in-house digitization effort first hand, and to aid the industry in the endeavor, the company recently launched a training and workflow digitization support program called Intelligent Capture Services (ICS).
