With security concerns abound and the massive amount of data only growing, firms across the globe are in great need of newer, improved information governance (IG) solutions and practices. Prosperoware has taken note of this need, and brought onboard Rich Powers, a legal technology veteran, as sales manager, Americas, information governance.

In his new role, Powers is tasked with the U.S. sales for Prosperoware’s Milan IG platform. The company noted in a statement that Powers will additionally be responsible for improving the adoption of Prosperoware’s iManage systems. Powers told Legaltech News that he wants to aid firms in solving the “critical issues” surrounding IG, such as “assisting the critical shift from the ‘share everything’ security of the past to new ‘need-to-know’ policies.” He said that “these new accessibility standards which clients are demanding and governments mandating” can potentially create “new problems of workflow implosion or risk management policy violations.”
