We often take for granted the simplicity of using many technologies, though not long ago, during days when IT chose every in-house software and basic tech acumen wasn’t requisite, user-friendliness wasn’t a primary concern. Yet even today, not all have capitalized on simple, more mobile technology, creating openings for companies like Chrome River, which is focusing on making expense management easier and more user friendly for enterprises.

Titled Mercury, the expense management interface employs rich internet application and responsive web design. Chrome River noted in a statement that in creating MERCURY, the company attempted to provide users with the same “functionality and look and feel” across mobile platforms and desktop. The company also stressed the importance of mobility with modern technologies, and, as Chrome River head of corporate communications Tim Wheatcroft explained to Legaltech News, mobility is affecting expense management in the legal industry.
