Ineffective cybersecurity measures present a significant and growing threat to the secure operation of organizations. Just as bacterial and viral agents assail the human body, the operations of businesses, regardless of size and industry, constantly face cyber dangers—internally (from employees) and externally (from hackers).
Identifying the bad actors and the risks they present, however, can only go so far before becoming cost-prohibitive. Just as a healthy, well-maintained body is able to fend off all but the most pernicious viral and bacterial agents, so can an organization defend itself. The successful organization is one that adopts a holistic approach to managing cybersecurity threats on multiple fronts.
