Quickly accessing necessary content in discovery can be a daunting task, and even more so in today’s modern organization, where a combination of mobile technologies, BYOD policies, and offices and infrastructure around the globe can complicate and overburden a legal team’s efforts to find and extract information. The evolution of technology and business, after all, means that data is no longer static or in easily consumable forms.
Aiming to help organizations tackle this challenge head on, e-discovery firm X-1 announced the launch of their X1 Distributed Discovery solution, which markets itself as a search function able to quickly sort through unstructured data and metadata on in-house computers and systems, mobile devices and cloud infrastructure. The company noted that the solution can search through the multitude of distributed endpoints from a centralized location and return the results “within minutes.”
