While there’s an argument to be made for bringing tech processes in house, high costs and complexities have driven many to leave tech-enabled tasks to managed legal services teams. With machine learning driving processes like discovery and contract review, artificial intelligence may be the next big breakthrough for firms to leverage, leading some service providers to find new ways to use it for their clients.
