Nearly half – 47 percent – of corporate in-house counsel taking part in a recent survey revealed their companies currently do not have an information governance (IG) program in place. Kroll Ontrack’s 2016 Corporate Risk Survey also found that another 26 percent of these companies think their existing program is lacking the resources to be effective.
“This poses a big risk for lawyers who rely on good governance to effectively respond to legal and compliance matters,” Michele Lange, director at Kroll Ontrack, told Legaltech News.
