According to experts, cyberattacks are no longer just IT risks or outliers separate from a law firm or legal department operations. They are business risks, as inherent to a law firm in today’s marketplace as e-billing and digital branding. And like any business risk, it is necessary to find and treat the root of the problem, which in the cyberspace means having robust digital forensics and investigation capability.
A believer in this approach is Kroll, which recently announced Devon Ackerman, Mari DeGrazia, Ron Dormido and Ray Manna as new directors in its Cyber Security and Investigations practice. All four new hires have extensive experience in cybersecurity, with the majority having worked in the government agencies dealing with cyber investigations and attacks.
