Whether they be e-discovery, information governance or practice management firms, legal tech providers are not just competing with other vendors in the industry, but also with all tech-creators who define the expected standards and capabilities of modern-day platforms. So it’s not a surprise that industry players are focusing more on improving the user experience (UX) of their products to appeal to a client base familiar with easy-to-use smartphones and connected devices.

NetDocuments, for example, recently announced the release of the eighth version of ndOffice, its document management platform, which operates as an add-on to Microsoft Office applications. ndOffice 1.8 focuses on streamlining UX, integrating with more widely-used applications and providing more metrics reporting.
