There’s no understating the exponential increases in data creation in recent years, and given our increased connectivity and evolving methods of communication, these data sets will only get vastly bigger.

This growth has in many ways been somewhat of a nuisance for litigation proceedings, as newer tools for collection can quickly be rendered insufficient. However, some software providers have found a viable option in the use of machine learning, such as Guidance Software, which announced the release of its EnCase Big Data Investigator, an e-discovery solution integrated with Brainspace Analytics tools.
