Perhaps you’re familiar with the concept of life hacking, i.e. taking shortcuts in arenas of life for greater productivity and efficiency. If you’re on the Silicon Valley tech scene, perhaps you know of ‘hackathons,’ events in which experts from various arenas (usually tech) come together to apply their skills to address a social good.

Baker & McKenzie brought legal onto the hackathon scene, and in the process helped bring the scene all the way to the White House. This past May, the firm was integral in the arrangement of the “White House Foster Care & Technology Hackathon,” a two day event aligning with National Foster Care Month.
