Debating effective cross-border e-discovery strategies in a world where the Privacy Shield’s path to approval seems to grow longer and more dubious by the week is no easy task. So it was no surprise when Jeanne Somma, discovery practice director at DiscoverReady, opened the Legaltech West Coast session “The Latest US-EU Cross-Border Privacy Issues” by noting “this is an ever changing topic, so what we’re going to touch on is most recently topics.”
Somma was joined by panelists David Cohen, partner and practice group leader of records and e-discovery at Reed Smith; Sylvie Stulic, manager of legal operations and litigation at Electronic Arts; and Brock Wanless, assistant general counsel of government, regulatory, and privacy at Groupon.
