While e-discovery providers seem to pop up right and left these days, they are doing so for a reason. The e-discovery software market is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 17.36 percent during the period 2016-2020, according to reports this week. And Cognicion LLC, one such newly launched e-discovery provider, will be seeking a piece of that pie with its premium technology, cost-cutting strategy and experienced team.

Cognicion announced its launch on Wednesday as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hunton & Williams, and is headed up by president and CEO Spencer Cosper. In a statement, Cosper said, “Cost certainty and cost containment are goals that Cognicion shares with the corporate and legal communities,” and CRO Chris McDaniel echoed Cosper’s point in an interview with Legaltech News.
