It’s no secret that telecom invoices are potentially rife with errors. As found in a recent white paper by Valicom, a company specializing in telecom expense management services, 35 percent of telecom invoices have errors, 85 percent of which are the fault of the carrier.

Among those missing the mark and paying more than necessary are law firms. David Cram, director of HBR Consulting’s strategic sourcing and business operations practice, said that there are three reasons most organizations fall short of a full invoice review:

  • There isn’t enough time.
  • They don’t understand the importance.
  • They aren’t sure how to do it.
