The Cost of Inefficiency
A recent study from the Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute looked at how much money is at stake from inefficient workflows, and William Josten from the Institute told Legaltech News that answering “change is hard” or “lawyers are change/risk averse” to the question of why law firms aren’t more eager to adopt improved technologies is an oversimplification. He pointed out that “lawyers don’t feel the negative impact in their pocketbook” but the catch is “that you can’t feel what was never there to begin with.”
