Email is widely regarded as a cumbersome platform for review, convoluted by carbon copies, various threads going to different senders, and its frequency of use. Aiming to alleviate burdens facing review teams, Kroll Ontrack has released Communication Insight, a Relativity-based application that provides visualizations for analysis.

Communication Insight applies visual cues to notify users of coding decisions (privileged, responsive and nonresponsive) in an effort to reduce coding discrepancies pre-production; identify whether someone replied to an email; and when a recipient was added or removed from a conversation. “This is a really powerful feature when you’re trying to understand if and when a specific individual was brought in on a subject,” noted Wendy King, Relativity product director at Kroll Ontrack.
