Complete Discovery Source (CDS) has announced that it is the first “full-service” e-discovery provider to be certified for the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. The certification meant getting approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the EU Commission’s joint Privacy Shield Framework to be able to handle transfers of personal data from the EU to the U.S.

Just how does an organization get these approvals? Dino Medina, CDS general counsel, explained to Legaltech News that there are many steps to certification and outlined the complex process.
