Big data obtained in part from industry cybersecurity information sharing groups is being successfully leveraged by federal agencies to prevent and detect cyberattacks and breaches, but many are struggling to keep up with volume and demands of this data analysis, the “Navigating the Cybersecurity Equation” survey of 150 federal IT managers found.

Industry groups like the Legal Services Information Sharing & Analysis Organization (LS-ISAO) and its founder, the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), regularly share industry-sourced cybersecurity threat data with federal agencies.
