The Risk is Real
Brian Kudowitz for Bloomberg Law wrote for Legaltech News this week that building privacy programs that “integrate and support business objectives and operational needs, instead of programs that exist in parallel or at odds with the business,” is one of the many challenges for privacy professionals and global corporations today. Because integrating business objectives with privacy programs can be complicated, companies have their work cut out for them. Especially in light of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)—a recently-approved European Commission regulation designed to protect the data rights of European individuals.
