Today, Yahoo revealed that information associated with at least 500 million Yahoo user accounts was stolen, and an investigation has revealed there is no evidence that the state-sponsored actor believed responsible for the breach is currently in Yahoo’s network, according to a company statement. The company said it is working with law enforcement to determine the origin of the breach.
“It sounds at this point the details are somewhat vague but also very familiar,” Erik Syverson, an attorney at Raines Feldman and co-chair of the firm’s internet and digital media practice group, told Legaltech News.
