In August, Duke Law announced it would be acquiring EDRM, the e-discovery standards organization long headed by George Socha and Tom Gelbmann. Now, as EDRM’s integration with Duke has become more official, the organization has formalized a new director to oversee day-to-day operations.
On Oct. 18, EDRM officially announced Tom Hnatowski as its new director. In this role, which was formalized in August, Hnatowski will be responsible for both the organization’s operations and outreach. His duties will also include fostering education and cooperation between judges, attorneys and e-discovery technology and service providers to promote e-discovery standards.
