The 40th floor conference room in the back corner of law firm Fredrikson & Byron’s downtown Minneapolis offices provides an unparalleled view of the Twin Cities’ multicolored fall beauty. But it was the speaker that took the floor minutes at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 25, that had my attention.

“It has to be perfect,” said David Shafiee, director of sales for Omtool’s North American legal sales team, in explaining about implementing records management and scanning. “If somebody tries the solution, and something’s not right, they’re not going to trust it.”
