Corporate attorneys are at increasing risk of cyberattacks due to the sensitive nature of the data they handle, according to “The 2016 SANS Incident Response Survey” of over 500 corporate IT professionals.

While the survey found that employee data was the information most often compromised in a breach—with 48 percent citing it as stolen in 2016—it also found a rise in breaches targeting intellectual property (IP) data.
