Analytics is all the hype these days, and the practice is proving beneficial for lawyers everywhere looking to develop strategies in a rapidly changing business climate. But those beyond in-house attorneys and law firm partners can benefit from this knowledge as well, particularly the emerging arena of legal operations.
This is where former McGuireWoods partner Laurent Wiesel focused his efforts when shifting gears away from the practice of law toward the technology changing the profession. The software platform he created along with a team of programmers, named Justly, leverages analytics to help legal business professionals get an idea of potential legal spend. To do so, Justly compiles data from Federal and State courts and generates visual data representations for users to budget, report and conduct early case assessment.
