On Jan. 9, the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) launched a “Legal Technology Vision” road map, aimed at making sure all lawyers within the country are up-to-date with legal technology. But going even further than U.S.-based ethics mandates, such as the American Bar Association’s Model Rule 1.1, this vision encouraged lawyers to be part of the solution rather than simply familiar with it.

“This Legal Technology Vision is a call to action for lawyers—whether practicing in law firms or serving as in-house counsel in corporations—to become part of the disruption that faces the legal industry today,” the SAL wrote in the 69-page document .
