Though the U.S. and many EU countries share a close bond and history, they are far apart when it comes to what is expected with data collection processes.
From the corporate U.S. perspective, the EU can seem like an e-discovery desert, rife with strict privacy expectations and where everyone ultimately speaks a different data language. It suffices to say, collecting data from EU offices or custodians can be tall order.
