When attorneys leave law school, most don’t start out with the intention of moving directly into e-discovery. But as the field has become more prominent and more integral to law firms and in-house legal department operations, e-discovery has been able to attract a great deal of outside talent from traditional legal work or consulting.

Julia Chain previously served as head of London law firm RPC’s in-house consultancy RPC Perform and as T-Mobile’s general counsel. Her recent move to legal document services firm Millnet, where she’ll serve as managing director, represents her first experience working directly for an e-discovery company.
