Nuix Director, a template-driven web application that directs and manages workflows for e-discovery projects using Nuix 5, launched on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The Director enables Nuix users to create a customized workflow and save it as a reusable template, which stores client preferences and applies user experience to projects.
The web-based Director does not supersede the Nuix Workstation desktop application, which is still available for power users requiring advanced processing and indexing control of the Nuix engine. According to Deborah Baron, Nuix’s CEO for North America and head of e-discovery and information governance, Nuix Director was designed for the company’s service providers and clients who need more productivity from “staff on hand.” Baron claims in the press release that “organizations will spend less time training and more time doing.”
