Is the extent of your computer prowess rebooting when all goes wrong? On HowToGeek.com, Chris Hoffman explains why this is actually a really great strategy.

Hoffman offers a little explanation: the ultimate problem a Windows computer can face is the dreaded blue screen of death. He says this is generally caused by a small error—a problem with a hardware driver or a hardware malfunction. Windows then reaches a state where it doesn’t know how to recover from the problem. When it shows the blue screen, what it’s doing is gathering information about the problem and automatically restarting it for you, and voila, says Hoffman. So, even when you face problems less significant than the screen—the same process works.
