A new website in Canada is promising a radical and different approach to enforcing judgments. PublicExecutions.ca was recently launched up north, enabling judgment creditors to use crowdsourcing technology to collect what they’re owed.

The site’s structure is simple, but capitalizes on the public to provide tips, incentivized with rewards from the poster. A judgment is entered into the system, including relevant court details, the debtor’s name and even his or her photo. This all is publically viewable and even set out in a map with locations where the debtors live. Each judgment costs $100 to post and also requires an affidavit swearing the information provided is true and accurate.
