Want to impress a green client while cutting the practice’s energy bill? A new technology developed in part by NASA and designed to reduce energy costs could fit nicely in Eco-friendly firms.

Silicon Valley start-up Nirvana Energy Systems Inc. is now testing a power source that could become a fixture at home and at work, according to William Pentland for Forbes. Dubbed the Power Stick, it uses technology developed by Xerox PARC in Palo Alto and refined by NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, using sound to turn thermal energy into electric power as well as heat water and office space, according to Pentland.
