According to an article by Washington Post reporter Brian Fung posted on “The Switch,” Mozilla, the maker of the Firefox Web browser, announced on its own blog that Brendan Eich would no longer be serving as chief executive. The resignation comes less than two weeks after Eich had taken the reins at the organization.

Mozilla’s executive chairwoman Mitchell Baker is quoted as saying, “We know why people are hurt and angry, and they are right: it’s because we haven’t stayed true to ourselves.”
