The Texas attorney general sued the nation's largest Internet-based phone service provider on Tuesday, saying Vonage failed to clearly inform customers that its basic service excludes access to 911 services. The suit, which would require Vonage to more clearly inform customers about accessing the 911 dialing feature, seeks $20,000 per violation. The company says its customers are notified about the 911 activation, but that it's "open to any changes they want."
