I hate to travel. It costs too much money. It takes me away from my warm bed. It puts me in proximity to God knows what germs. But, mostly, it prevents me from living my normal, daily life, with my normal solo law practice and my normal wife and kids. (Make that wonderful wife and kids — I want to live long enough to finish this article.)
I was thinking about the Internet recently, when writing about Web 2.0. While daydreaming, it occurred to me that I was missing two legal technology trade shows I’ve attended in the past: ALM’s LegalTech WestCoast 2006 in Los Angeles (home of movie stars and smog and other cool stuff) and ABA Techshow in Chicago (that toddling town — home to the world champion White Sox and the best museum in the U.S., The Field Museum of natural history).
